Are you serving or are you sitting?

Are you serving or are you sitting?

Are you serving or are you sitting?

A famous violist willed his violin to the city of his birth with one condition.  He never wanted his violin to ever be played again after his death.  The problem was that the type of wood that the violin was made of wore lightly if used, but  wasted away if it was not used.  Over time the violin sat unused and became worm-eaten and useless.

This reminds us of the importance of serving God and serving others.  When we avail ourselves to help and assist others we are useful, we refrain from
serving we are useless.  Jesus Christ was the greatest example of a servant.  His entire life was dedicated to serving humanity.  We as Christians are to follow this incredible example.  Are you serving or are you sitting?
